First Round of Photos

So, this is the parking lot of the place where we rented the rental truck. The weather was great, and I saw a coupon in the rental place.....so got four tokens. When was the last time you have taken swings in a batting cage?? I can not remember, but it was so much fun. We thought if the remaining guys could come out, we would grab a couple cases and make a game of it. I am just happy I didn't pull a muscle.
This is a building in downtown Idaho Falls, in the historic district. I was kind of hoping that the lounge was still open for business. This building would be a huge hit back in my town. I can picture it now. The photographer just loved to try and get me in the picture. How cool would it be to go to the Bonneville for a beverage??
Come on, can't you just see a clock tower on this building?? It so made me think of Back to the Future. Doc and Marty charging the Flexcapasitor (how do you spell that word). That and after going in the basement of the building to get my utilities hooked up - felt like a Coen brothers movie. There are no pictures but trust me when I say you can not make this stuff up.

I was just as surprised as you to find out that this little town was the birthplace of television. We took the tour at the museum, and Chucko got a t-shirt. You will want to see more pictures from this place.

So today was another day. The students are getting used to me, and I am getting used to teaching language arts. The was one word on my spelling pre-test today that I skipped because I was not sure I would use it right in a sentence. So funny. I sent a couple kids out of the room today - they still want to test me. I am still unsure how the year is going to go because they have nothing for me. I am making a wish list but am unsure what will happen. I have white paper and crayons, no joke. I am not asking for much...glue sticks, scissors, art books, things to hang on the walls, sketch books and such.

Getting a new phone next week, same number. Moving into the FREE Blackberry. Camille is helping me at Qwest, she is over in Boise.

Still taking reservations for late fall and winter months. ;)
