Holy Crap, what a day. The students are doing their best to kill me. I was at a meeting last week for first year teachers. A principal said that you want your students to like you, heck even love you. He said this because this is the age where students start to bring guns to school. He said the students LOVE him, so he doesn't have to worry about being shot. I just sat there. I was laughing inside at the comment and how matter of fact he was about the whole topic. I thought if one of my prepubescent students had the where with all to get a gun out of their pocket and shot before I could get to them - Good for them, but so help that child who is one step slower for he will not see the light of day for a very long time. Just the thought gives me a bad feeling. So I am working on all of my students loving me. :)
Here is the movie list of the weekend...
Pushing Tin - I do like me the John Cusack guy, but WOW did this suck.
Regarding Henry - I got to get me some of that. It was still a good flick.
Terms of Endearment - First time watching this film. Man does Shirley MacLaine remind me of my ex-mother in law. In a good way, mainly looks.
1408 - Again, John Cusack. It could have been so much better. There were some moments.
The Guns of Navarone - Gregory Peck, David Niven and Anthony Quinn, please. The funny thing was that I kind of felt man on man love - which is funny for the time period and topic.
When Harry Met Sally - It was to be my perfect Saturday morning pick, but it didn't work. Dame good movie.
This is what happens when the weekend comes.
The lady upstairs started the week out right, boo!! That goodness they were on the clock. I made eye contact with her yesterday for the first time and again this evening before leaving for the library.
Still need a TV.
A lady at school wanted to know how I was single, anybody want to give her an answer??

If they're gonna like you, they need to know you're not gay. I'm thinking Idahoans are a bit phobic... Start wearing a cowboy or trucker hat and you should put their minds at ease... and then post pictures ;)
