Ah, the Christmas spirit washes over me......

When you ask for something, how do you go about it?  When you talk to God and pray, how do you phrase your prayer?  Since I was in high school I have felt the power of prayer.  I have been in the potato state for almost four months.  It has been an amazing experience.  In under a year I have felt myself start to come into my 'own'.  There have only been a couples pieces left, and they seem to be falling into place before my tired, frustrated eyes.  I should have moved out of Minnesota years ago!!  Ok, that might be a bit much.

I had high hopes for my trip back to the state with all the lakes, and nobody saw all of this coming!!  I have had a BLAST! I have almost seen everybody, and hope to get my hands on a copy of all the pictures.  A big part of me is all of you.  Thank you thank you thank you!!  From the Wild game, the card game, the cooking/baking, and ALL OF THAT FOOD!  I have an old friend that currently lives in another zip code as well, and I feel his pain around the holidays - and missing the gatherings.  It was odd to go back to a church I attended a couple years ago without him being there to say hi.  It might sound funny, and like I am complaining BUT it has been overwhelming to back as well.  I almost felt like I should go back early because of everything.  I have gotten used to no tv, no drinking, no friends and looking at the walls of my apartment.  I had such a good, and relaxing, Christmas by the fire.

Well, I wanted to wish the rest of you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  Do you make a list to better yourself each year?  To you try new things, or just change the calendar??  My list is starting to become clearer, and short.

I am shocked to feel excited to go back to Idaho.  My 13-14 hours in the car on Saturday should be a mixed bag of fun.

Is it how you end the year, or how you start it?  How did I start this one?  I see 2009 as being just as packed with excitement as 2008, I tend to attract it.

Oh yeah, friends just gave me a Mike Doughty cd - so good!  I really like the titles of the songs, and his sound.  What band was he in??  I love the song More Bacon Than the Pan Can Handle.

Give you the update on the holiday break this monday, when I am back in the library. :)
