Come One, Come All

I would love to have 10 followers by the time I come back to Minnesota. Is that asking a lot? I could just name names right now.......yes, I am talking about you.

Thank you Mrs. Smith. If I didn't have stories I would not be ..crap, can not write my real name. It cuts down on the google searches from my mother. :)

I had a great Thanksgiving weekend, and yes I did cook. That is truly my happy place. My Principal's family was great. I got to meet another teacher's family, and get to meet his adorable kids. The house had sheep and chickens. He collects old cars like Mr. Miyagi, and has a collection of old farm tractors as well. There was so much food we could have had ten more people show up. Much to my chagrin his single daughter was not there for dinner. I did have fun meeting everybody else - and might be able to get my hands on Sundance tickets in February. Might need a side kick for that weekend..........

So, I have regrouped again. I moved the desks around, had a talk with each class and have a game plan. I am as focused as a laser beam!! I took eight students out of language arts and had a talk with them. I told all of my classes that if things went really well that we would have a fun day on the 19th. HA, they do not even know that it is more for me. My new art classes are starting to fall into place, which is nice. I have the principal coming into my classes this week to check to see if I am doing everything right. It was great to see my past student's reactions when they saw their work hanging in the hall. I saw groups pointing and talking about the work, warms my heart. One of my students was making fun of a drawing to his buddies, I informed him that his work would be hanging there soon.

There is not much to say today. I worked at the theater for 37 hours this weekend, I am getting my bang for my buck on the free popcorn. I brought in my test run of the mini pecan pies. Of course they got a mixed reaction. I had a couple managers get slack jawed over the fact that I made them. That is part of the fun of baking, I won't lie. I added more hours to my time there, it is like doing stand up. To watch the guys buy tickets to Twilight, priceless!! We shall see if it is in my future after Christmas - but how will I meet the girl again?? I am hoping she shows up again to my window, and this time I will be ready!!

For those who read this drivel, I will be in Minnesota from Dec. 20-Jan 2. Plan accordingly.

The Mayor
