I had a great evening yesterday when I had some coworkers come over for dinner. It is a really nice mix of people, but my buddy just had to ditch out and see his girlfriend up in West. Eer, I mean West Yellowstone. It is so interesting to pick up the local verbage. They ask if I am going back East for a break, and I am like "back East"? No, I am from Minnesota - not Boston.
So the gang came over last night and we made some great pizza, enjoyed a couple beverages and amusing conversation. The group consists of a married woman, a divorced mother of two, a girl on the verge of an engagement and a married man struggling with his combative/failing marriage. Oh yeah, and me.......what is my heading? We just get together and laugh. I think the two ladies almost fell over when I held my friend's young son, Tyler, while she was doing something else. He was in his pjs and he does enjoy being around me. When I was talking to me I guess the other girls had a look of astonishment on their faces - wish I had not missed that. What can I say....I really like kids. I have even offered to babysit, they even have a big yellow lab. Heaven, what?
So, I have left over pizza, beer and cheesecake.....anybody interested in coming over tonight? If so please bring a movie.
This past week has been very packed. I applied for four more positions in MN and IL. I am crossing my fingers for the position in Duluth. That would be a perfect place to put roots down. I hope that is the next step for me, kind of settle into my career and a town. It would be close to both family and friends. I remain open for what while happen next year, God seems to continually push me. Character, boooo. Who wants more character? I could use a little break.
C.S. come on man!! No pics of me on this thing. Check out your ladies FB page, the photos are there. Still hanging onto the free bowling games, in case you show up and want to lose.
March is going to FLY by into the Spring. Plan, Plan Plan.
The events of last weekend were relived each day at school. So many laughs. I told them I could take it, say anything you want. I just hope there will be no other future ramifications of the outing. There is nothing like drinks with the fellas.
Crossing your fingers as I go back to working on the thesis!!! I SAID CROSS THEM!!!!!!
