Yup, it was a good experience. I do not think anybody wants their family members to die, but my uncle was 'getting on' in years. I had not seen him since my father's funeral. The funeral was a small family affair. It was good to see my relatives from the area, who I see at these events. I will upload some pictures next go around. We went out to where my family had a farm back in the day. It was good to see how things were holding up. I am thinking about doing some paintings based on this trip. I did a quick sketch while we were out there. For all of the realities of life, I had a really fun time with the family. I almost feel like I have lost parts of my memory at times like this, because so much has happened and it is hard to believe the years that have passed before me.
The traveling part was interesting......and by that I mean - WHO makes the plane that small? The average person CAN NOT fit into these seats. It was an 'airlink' flight, four seats across. I was assigned the window seat. The smaller person next to me took the middle arm rest and sat close to me. Unbelieveable!! I am not looking forward to the flight back to Minnesota at Christmas. A little shout out to the friends that came out to the airport...THANK YOU!! It was great to see you and it meant a lot. I even had repeat customers. Thanks.

Well, time to get back down to business and focus on the rest of the tri-mester. I want my students to pass art. Yes, there are some that are not getting above a C. These are the ones that are trying for a bad grade. I try to tell them. I try to make it easy. Some lessons you can only learn for yourself. Not good. I have one kid that uses some naughty words, I corrected him AND the next thing out of his mouth was the EXACT same word. He left the class. The next student started to back talk out of the blue. I was FLOORED! I told him to stop , buuuuuuuuuttt no he just kept going. I told him to leave. I saw him waiting outside the class. I went out and informed him that he was to get his things and go to the office. It was not a good finish to the day. The topping was that I came to find out that the second kid never went to the office. If you ever wanted to know what a kid on fire smells like, come to my school tomorrow when I light him up. It is like the line from Cool Hand Luke, " What we have here is failure to communicate. I don't like this anymore than you do, ......"

Thanks for the long read. I start at the theater on Friday. I will be working 40+ hours Thanksgiving weekend, with time and a half on the day. I asked for a double shift. I was also told that I will be the ticket taker. She thought I would be good at that position. Letting people know what they can not bring in and enforcing it. I also get free movies and can bring a friend along. I know, NICE. Oh yeah, no friends.

BYE BYE

Karen told me the theater called her for a reference . . . It's a good thing you didn't put me down. I might have told them the truth about you;)

Miss you!!! It's just not the same around here.
